Finding Center
Strategies to Build Strong Girls & Women
by Maureen D. Mack, Ph.D.
Though many females are given the opportunities that were not extended to their mothers, girls and young women of today are not taught to negotiate these new horizons in the face of persisting false and debilitating stigmas. Dr. Maureen D. Mack addresses this central conflict among females while providing a comprehensive approach to building identity and confidence.
She draws upon the pervasive dissatisfaction that many females today feel about themselves and instructs these girls and young women to "center" their personal strength in order to recognize their own value.
