In Cold Pursuit author Paul Echols has used proceeds from his book to create a scholarship in honor of the nine women murdered by Tim Krajcir. The "Nine Angels" scholarship will be offered to a junior in Southern Illinois University's Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

He has started a new national organization of support and care groups for veterans, focusing on veterans coaching veterans. The program is part of Vet Life Community, a network of no-cost, confidential community weekly support meetings, care groups and buddy systems.
