Ron Franscell, a native of Casper, Wyoming and an alumni of the University of Wyoming, has been hailed among the rising stars in the literary world. The San Francisco Chronicle listed his first novel, Angel Fire, among the Best 100 Novels of the 20th Century West. His second novel, The Deadline, was heralded by the Poisoned Pen as one of the 25 best crime fictions of 1999. He has also won the prestigious Wyoming Literary Fellowship in 1996. His career has spanned more than 20 years in Santa Fe, N.M., Wyoming and California's Bay Area, and garnered several national awards.
