Cassandra loves to smile. She loves to smile everywhere she goes. She smiles at grownups. She smiles at children. She even smiles at animals.

Cassandra also likes to each candy. She likes delicious, gooey, sticky candy. Cassandra eats lots of candy. When Cassandra's mother tells her to brush her teeth, Cassandra says she is too busy playing with her friends.

One day Cassandra finds ugly brown spots on her teeth. Cassandra cannot make them go away even though she brushes them a lot. Now Cassandra won’t smile at all. She does not want anyone to see the ugly brown spots. Cassandra wishes she had her beautiful smile back.

Cassandra's mother tells Cassandra she has to go to the dentist to have her teeth cleaned and X-rayed. However, Cassandra is afraid to go to the dentist – what will the dentist do?

Cassandra Gets Her Smile Back teaches children the importance of caring for their teeth, how topractice good hygiene and how the dentist is a helpful friend.

Sherri Alpert, D.D.S, has been a general dentist with a large percentage of pediatric patients for over sixteen years. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Sate University of New York at Buffalo and currently resides in Highland Mills, New York.

Tea Seroya was a children’s drawing teacher for several years before becoming a full-time children’s book illustrator. He resides in Bandung, Indonesia.
