Tainted Roses
A True Story of Murder, Mystery and a Dangerous Love
by Margie Danielsen
Margie Danielsen regards herself as a lucky woman. Having survived an unhappy first marriage, her dreams come true when she meets a perfect gentleman with an aura of mystery who brings her red roses, wines and dines her, and sweeps her off her feet. After a romantic courtship, they marry on Valentine's Day. Believing she has finally found peace and security, for herself and her three daughters, Margie settles down with her new husband—handsome, well-to-do Sean Paul Lanier.
But the haven of happiness Margie enjoys within her own home is suddenly shattered when a friend calls to say that Margie had better turn on her television set to view America's Most Wanted. Suddenly, her new husband's face flashes across the screen. Margie is confronted by the startling and horrifying revelation that Sean is a virtual stranger—a man who has come to their marriage with a secret past too dark to be forgotten or forgiven.
Before she can make plans for the children and her to leave, Sean discovers she knows. He swears he will never let her go. And so begins a deadly game of cat-and-mouse in which it is up to Margie to fight to free her family—a struggle none of them may survive.
Tainted Roses is a harrowing account of a mother's fight for her own and her daughters' lives as she is stalked, seduced and terrorized by her own husband—a masterful killer.
